METROPOLIS — After a mysterious absence of several
years, the Man of Steel has returned to Earth and Metropolis
to face his arch nemesis, Lex Luthor.
As the world faces cataclysm and destruction at the hands
of Luthor's vile, corrupting influence on our city and our
planet, the question remains: has Superman returned in time
to foil the dark plans of our enemies, and perhaps save
millions of innocent lives?
Undisclosed sources report that Superman actually returned
to his home galaxy, in a search for possible survivors of
his home planet Krypton, long ago destroyed by an astronomical
disaster.
Superman's own verbal history of his long lost home identified
the intergalactic criminals General Zod, Ursa and Non,
as former inhabitants of Krypton before its explosive
annihilation. Metropolis residents recall well how
this trio of terrorists wreaked havoc on the city, endangering
lives and property before attacking the President in the
White House.
