Andy Serkis introduces another film clip from RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, demonstrating Caesar's advanced intelligence when confronted by ape facility worker Dodge Landgon (Tom Felton) and his unwary friends. While Rodman's attempt to raise Caesar with humans spurred his hybrid development of genetically-advanced intellect, the chimp's experience living with — and being incarcerated by — humans gives Caesar the strategic advantage he will need when starting the ape revolution against mankind.
This clip serves as a clever contrast to the much more empathetic We Will Integrate Him clip, which showed the emotional drama of breaking the bond of trust between Rodman and Caesar. Now we can see the flip side of Serkis' performance as Caesar the ingenious, strategic leader of an uprising which will turn ape against human, and given Dodge's abusive behavior toward the apes in the facility, Caesar has no lack of motivation to revolt.
