Feel free to compare the description while watching the trailer below and you’ll see how close, for the most part, the two match — though all those “dark scenes” that were hard to describe seem quite clear in this official trailer video. Director Ridley Scott emphasizes his complete "all about everything school" of filmmaking, assembling the best story, actors and crew to deliver a cinematic experience as broad and all-encompassing as possible. He also hints, "The surprise is in the story."

12.20.2011 — Fox is back with a second new video preview of the PROMETHEUS trailer, which makes its world premiere debut on iTunes this Thursday. This sneak peek is shorter than yesterday's first preview teaser but contains very quick snippets of new film clips and behind-the-scenes shots with director Ridley Scott and the cast in action.
