once again gets the exclusive scoop for an online
preview of the entire PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:
AT WORLD'S END music score by composer Hans Zimmer.

Zimmer's

A

spoiler-free about the story, you may just want

is, it may contain some plot spoilers.

18th — The PIRATES 3: AT WORLD'S END trailer ready to
debut Monday! |
|
If
you didn't attend the Ultimate Pirates Fan Event
today, you'll have to wait until Monday the 19th
for your first look at the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:
AT WORLD'S END trailer.
Some
invididuals have tried to leak the trailer online
already, but those sharp-eyed deck hands aboard
the HMS Disney have already shut down the video
links almost as quickly as they appeared.
You may see some websites claiming to give you
a sneak preview, but likely you'll find the "video
is no longer available." So keep your
striped socks on for one more day, fans!
Meanwhile,
I won't offer the trailer until its legally available
but I'll share some general impressions with you:
Expect
several very cool glimpses of spectacular scenes,
a couple of which won't be total surprises to
you if you saw the contraband concept are which
hit the web a while ago. I can say this:
that concept art, while intriguing, can't hold
a candle to the finished film clips seen in the
trailer. PIRATES 3 will contain the broadest
range of location environments of all three films,
excitingly packed into this final chaper!
Or as Jack Sparrow might put it, "It's not
all pirates of the Caribbean, love!"
You can expect another great swordfight, but I
won't say between which characters — you'll
see soon enough.
Since
dead men tell no tales, I'll stop here!
But Caribbean Trading Company and FilmEdge guarantee
you'll like what you see when the PIRATES OF THE
CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END trailer debuts tomorrow.
Stay tuned for more news as it breaks.

13th— Jack is Blessed to meet a new Pirate villain AT
WORLDS END |
 |
UPDATED
NEWS
—
Word circulated quickly over the weekend that
veteran film and stage actor Brian Blessed will
play a villainous character in PIRATES OF THE
CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END. The deep-voiced
actor reprises his acting history of piracy with
Disney, having already played Long John Silver
in the 1986 TV mini-series "Return to Treasure
Island."
Film fans will also recognize Blessed's voiceover
work as Clayton in Disney's TARZAN, and as Boss
Nass in STAR WARS: EPISODE 1 - THE PHANTOM MENACE.
He's also appeared in notable on-screen roles
in ALEXANDER, ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES and
FLASH GORDON.
No
confirmation yet on Blessed's character name or
how he fits into the third film's plot, but Caribbean
Traders will keep a weather-eye open for more
news as it arrives!

10th— Elizabeth Swann and POTC3 are a wrap for actress
Keira Knightley |
UPDATED
NEWS
—
An article in the British Daily
Mail reports that Keira Knightley will shoot her
last scenes for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S
END today, and reportedly the actress has told the producers
she won't return for any possible sequels in the future.
Knightley
is quoted, "I've been playing this girl since I
was 17. I'm 21 now and I'm onto very different
things, but it's fun to try to invest Elizabeth with
some rebellious spirit."
Caribbean
Trading Company will continue to follow developments
to see if this story pans out as reported from across
the seas.
IN
OTHER NEWS
—
A brief report by MoviesOnline.ca
indicated the POTC3 production team was filming at the
world famous Niagra Falls, straddling the US/Canadian
border. While there's no official confirmation
why this location was chosen, could setting up cameras
at the world's largest waterfall system have any bearing
on the seagoing mythos behind the subtitle AT WORLDS
END? Will Captain Jack and the crew of the Black
Pearl be sailing precariously close to the edge of the
map to some exotic location which resembles the Old
World concept of the edge of the Earth?
Only time will tell how this Niagra Falls location figures
into the story of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3, so stay
tuned.

25th— Rocker Keith Richards' cameo has PIRATES 3 cast
reeling |
Internet reports from the set of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:
AT WORLDS END say
that if all the rum's gone,
the thirsty culprit may be Keith Richards.
The
Rolling Stone rocker has finished filming his cameo
as Jack Sparrow's father, and apparently performed with
more genuine swagger — or perhaps stagger —
than Depp's loose-limbed portrayal. Richards arrived
on-set with at least a couple of his sheets to the wind,
but still managed to deliver his brief performance as
the senior Sparrow.
Unconfirmed
reports hint that Richard's costume closely resembles
Depp's ensemble as Jack Sparrow, with slight changes.
But only time and new reports will tell.

|
| August
31st— PIRATES sailing seas of Asian adventure AT WORLD'S
END |
|
MTV.com
reports that PIRATES' star Orlando Bloom divulges a
few details about the strong Asian influence to appear
in the third chapter of the saga.
The
cast presense of Chinese martial arts film legend Chow
Yun-Fat as Captain Sao Feng certainly will add his own
style of thrills to the high seas action. A veteran
of of nearly 100 films including Crouching Tiger,
Hidden Dragon and The Replacement Killers,
Yun-Fat's action trademark arose from numerous John
Woo shoot-em-up films in which he fought with pistols
in both hands simultaneously — a style the actor
found physically exhausting despite his training and
excellent condition.
But
will Captain Feng fight with two swords? "Oh,
he does, I believe," hints Bloom.

not ready to release its title |
|
Director
Gore Verbinski, his cast and crew are about to re-launch
production on PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3 in August,
with shooting expected to last a couple months.
All of the principal actors will return for filming,
plus new cast members including Chow Yun-Fat (playing
Sao Feng), to complete next summer's trilogy-capper
following 2006's number one film, DEAD MAN'S CHEST.
But
Disney continues to deny that PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN:
AT WORLD'S END is the title of the third chapter, saying
the actual title will be released in the next few months.
Also, the Asian-design teaser poster which appeared
at Comic-Con reportedly was a quick mock-up made for
the event, and not the official teaser poster for the
third film. Stay tuned as Caribbean Trading Company
keeps a weather eye open on PIRATES 3 developments as
they happen, leading up to its Memorial Day weekend
release in 2007.
Meanwhile,
DEAD MAN'S CHEST finally reliquished the top spot at
the box office this past weekend, as MIAMI VICE edged
out the swashbuckling sequel. Still, PIRATES 2
earned another $20.5 million for a domestic total of
over $358 million. |

There
is a sea of rumors about POTC3 rolling along, but one
golden nugget of apparent fact has been dug up by Hollywood.com:
it looks like Rolling Stone rocker Keith Richards will
indeed appear in the third PIRATES film as the father
of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Richards,
who has been given a clean bill of health to go on tour
with the Stones across Europe, will spend some time
sailing the Caribbean with star Johnny Depp as PIRATES
OF THE CARIBBEAN: WORLD'S END (the reported title) sets
course to arrive in theaters in May 2007.
