Daft Punk's TRON: LEGACY soundtrack drops November 23
July 06 2010 — Though we have few details to share, Amazon.com has listed electronic music duo Daft Punk's upcoming original score for TRON: LEGACY with a street date of November 23, 2010.
Releasing nearly a full month before the feature film speeds into theaters on a 3D LightCycle December 17th, expect some time to ponder the track titles, music cues and any insert art included with the single-disc CD release. The studio will release the soundtrack on its own Walt Disney Records label.
Currently users can only add Daft Punk's CD to their Amazon wish list or sign up for email notification when the soundtrack is available. But the single disc release implies either their soundtrack doesn't fill the film's total running time, or that the CD will contain only major highlight tracks and cues from Daft Punk. In either case, the music heard in the teaser trailer which debuted earlier this year sounds incredibly promising and a perfect tonal, thematic fit for the dark, futuristic vision of the film.
FilmEdge will review Daft Punk's soundtrack as soon as available this November. Meanwhile, stay tuned for more TRON: LEGACY breaking news this month as Comic-Con 2010 becomes Comi-TRON.
