Queen meets STAR WARS: epic song parody Midichlorian Rhapsody
September 7, 2010 —Sure, many of the original generation of STAR WARS fans have a beef with how the Prequel Trilogy turned out compared to the Original three films, but recently this video song parody blasted onto YouTube that might make you like them a bit more. Mysticfig posted this mashup of Episodes I-III with a falsetto-filled song parody of Queen's immortal rock hit to light up Midichlorian Rhapsody, a very cleverly re-written tonal tale of Anakin Skywalker's journey from Jedi to Sith . . . from a comedic point of view.
The 1975 original Bohemian Rhapsody was an epic, operatic sensation and this video version mostly captures the epic scale of the early STAR WARS saga re-editing the Prequel films. But the lyrics do the best job of juxtaposing Queen and Queen Amidala's main squeeze and the fall of the Chosen One. It's Prequel-era STAR WARS with a 1970s rock opera twist, enjoy!
