STAR WARS Fans Celebrate Last Tour to Endor with Character(s)

September 7, 2010 — The Disney Parks Blog shared this newly updated video recap of the Last Tour to Endor fan event, celebrating the ceremonial shut-down of the Star Tours attraction, part of the Star Wars Celebration V convention in Orlando, Florida last month. The special after-park-hours event invited guests to dress in costume as their favorite STAR WARS characters, yielding a crowd of Jedi Knights, Princesses, Sith Lords and Stormtroopers among other galactic characters. Be sure to watch for the elaborately designed Clone Trooper skewered by a glowing lightsaber:

STAR WARS saga creator George Lucas posed with Jedi Mickey, Princess Minnie, Stormtrooper Donald and Darth Goofy in the forests of Endor before guests danced the night away under a Death Star disco ball. Last Tour attendees were also treated to a Star Wars character dance-off show, the debut of a new STAR WARS-themed fireworks show, and exclusive performances of Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom — a live stage stunt show mashing up Disney Hollywood Studios' Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular attraction with Darth Maul, Boba Fett, Han Solo and a final duel with Darth Vader. Look closely for many celebrities who made cameos in the show cast including STAR WARS actors Anthony Daniels, Warwick Davis and Jeremy Bulloch, plus THE CLONE WARS voice actors Matt Lanter, James Arnold Taylor, Jaime King, Dee Bradley Baker, Ashley Eckstein and Tom Kane!

The event concludes with the ceremonial closing of Disney's Star Tours attraction, shosted by C-3PO and R2-D2 with other guest surprises from the STAR WARS universe, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display rivaling the destruction of the Death Star.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue will open for new journies across the galaxy in 2011 with all-new 3D attractions at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and Disney's Hollywood Studio park in Orlando.
