April 27, 2011 — PIRATES official Facebook page delivers a new group portrait of mermaids
Today Disney's official PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Facebook page posted a new portrait of the ON STRANGER TIDES mermaids all in a row. These tempting sirens of the sea may beguile you with their beauty, but the photo album caption reads "Do mermaids really look that dangerous?" As with any creature living have above sea and half below it, appearances don't tell the whole story, mates. Click the image for a full-size view.
April 18, 2011 — Annie Leibovitz poses Johnny Depp and Patti Smith as pirates for Disney Dream Portraits
Disney Parks Blog posted the latest, exclusive images in the series of Disney Dream Portraits by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, this time enlisting PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES star Johnny Depp and proto-punk rocker Patti Smith. Preview these images before they are available as a special insert in May issues of O -The Oprah Magazine, Real Simple, InStyle and People magazines.
March 21, 2011 — Two new photos from PIRATES: ON STRANGER TIDES debut with new theatrical trailer
Along with a first look at the brand new, full-length trailer for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES which debuts on Yahoo Movies today, our crewmates at Disney also sent FilmEdge two new production photos featuring Gibbs (Kevin R. McNally) and Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in a narrow escape from London, plus a romantic shot of the missionary Philip (Sam Claflin) and the captured mermaid Syrena (Astrid Berges-Frisbey) on a search for the Fountain of Youth.
March 11, 2011 — Clap yer eyes on these hi-res zombie artwork designs from PIRATES: ON STRANGER TIDES
The scalawags at Disney just traded to FilmEdge a set of concept art images of the various zombie characters Jack Sparrow will encounter this summer in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES. Captain Jack's journey to find the legendary Fountain of Youth lays many hazards in his way, including the likes of these supernatural creatures who roam the seven seas. Staring blank eyes, pale skin drawn tight and lips sewn shut, these zombies likely populate the Caribbean around the islands of Hispaniola or Cuba — but might they also be unnatural guardians of the Fountain of Youth that Jack seeks?

February 17, 2011 — New high-resolution photo of Blackbeard released via Jack Sparrow's Facebook page
Though PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN producer Jerry Bruckheimer often releases his own on-set photos from production of ON STRANGER TIDES, his character pals Jack Sparrow and Blackbeard have now started their own Facebook pages to release online treasure to socially networked fans. Tonight Captain Jack unveiled this high-resolution photo of act Ian McShane as Blackbeard from this behind-the-scenes photo of the dreaded pirate in his private quarters (left, below):

FilmEdge attended Disney's exclusive Fans First event at Downtown Disney for the premiere of the new 3D teaser trailer for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES hours before the trailer's world premiere at Yahoo Movies this afternoon. Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow, joined by Penelope Cruz as Angelica (the first female pirate in the film franchise) and Ian McShane as Blackbeard as they collude and collide in their search of the mystical Fountain of Youth.
