This second trailer for CLASH OF THE TITANS does a much better job emphasizing the battle between gods and humans than the first trailer, which was more of a monster/action fest with little sense of the story.  Perseus (Sam Worthington) now stands defiant in the middle of this titanic war as Zeus (Liam Neeson) demands retribution and Hades (Ralph Fiennes) gladly delivers.  Sure, the unveiling of the Kraken keeps the creature feature appeal running, but it won't be the first one we've seen in a blockbuster by now so it had better impress if it's the trump card of CLASH's monster rally.

The film's epic scale also becomes more evident in this trailer, and CLASH OF THE TITANS' April release (now with 3D releases planned) might give this visual effects extravaganza an early edge over this summer's crowded action-adventure field.  Director Louis Leterrier has certainly taken this remake seriously and given it a gritty edge of brutal realism amid the mythological splendor and sorcery.  FilmEdge looks forward to seeing the final results.
