Don’t be late for this very important royal date – the Royal World Premiere of Disney and Tim Burton’s Epic 3D Fantasy Adventure ALICE IN WONDERLAND, held In Aid of The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

From Walt Disney Pictures and visionary film-director Tim Burton comes one of the most highly anticipated movie releases for 2010 Alice in Wonderland. The film’s all-star cast – including Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Australian rising-star Mia Wasikowska as Alice, and UK comedian Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee – are expected to attend the World Premiere on February 25 in London, alongside director Burton.  They will be joined by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

Also expected to step onto this majestic red carpet will be some of the impressive British acting talent providing the voices for Wonderland’s amazing menagerie of inhabitants, including Alan Rickman playing Absolum the caterpillar, Michael Sheen playing The White Rabbit, Paul Whitehouse playing The March Hare, Timothy Spall playing Bayard, Barbara Windsor playing the Dormouse and Christopher Lee playing the Jabberwocky.

The event promises to bring a touch of the magical and surreal world of Wonderland to the capital! Taking place in London’s Leicester Square, the premiere is being held in aid of The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts, which aims to remove barriers so that all UK children have the opportunity to discover the arts as a valuable and enjoyable part of life.

Tim Burton’s magical and imaginative Alice in Wonderland is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s beloved “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking-Glass” and is brought to the big screen in ground-breaking Disney Digital 3D™ and features stunning avant-garde visuals.  The film showcases Alice’s fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.  Director Tim Burton (“The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) incorporates characters and story elements from both of Carroll’s books in Alice in Wonderland, but provides a whole new adventure as 19-year-old Alice returns to Wonderland for the first time since she was a child.

Rated PG, ALICE IN WONDERLAND hits U.S. theatres on FRIDAY, MARCH  5, 2010.
